Have you ever heard about St.Petersburg's draw-well-yards? Indeed, when you come in in a such yard and look at the sky, you could feel yourself like being at the bottom of a deep draw-well. The walls of the houses are around you and the yard is so small and narrow! As I know such yards are a typical St.Peter's phenomenon.

Sometimes, the yards in Saint-Petersburg could remind you labyrinths. For instance, this one is a yard of one of the oldest Univercity in St.Petersburg - Hertzen's University. There're a lot of little side streets between it's faculties. And you have to do your best for not to be lost.
